| Houston, TX (MySportsbook) - St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright left Saturday's 8-4 win against the Houston Astros with a sprained middle finger on his right hand. In the sixth inning with no outs, Wainwright threw four pitches to Darin Erstad before stepping off the mound in favor of Kyle McClellan. In his five-plus innings of work, Wainwright was charged with two runs on seven hits with a walk and four strikeouts to pick up the win. He will be further evaluated on Sunday. |
