Sunday Rewind: Resilient Steelers make a big statement NFL Football 12/06/2010
n of the future, by the way, tossing three interceptions against a Bills defense that entered the contest having picked off only five passes through the first 11 games. - Can anyone explain to me (any Tony Sparano may want to listen as well) why the Miami Dolphins can't win a home game? They fell to 1-5 at Sun Life Stadium for the year with Sunday's discouraging 13-10 setback to Cleveland, with regressing young quarterback Chad Henne throwing three picks and completing just 50 percent of his throws while bein
Browns building a winner, moving closer to .500 NFL Football 12/06/2010
P) -Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini says there's no such thing as an ugly win.

Mangini said all victories are ``beautiful, special in their own way'' on Monday, one day after the Browns got their second straight last-second win, 13-10 over the Miami Dolphins. At this point last season, the Browns (5-7) were 1-11 and Mangini's job was in serious jeopardy.

But the Browns are building, and after their fourth win in six games, Mangini's future has never looked more promising or secure. Cleveland has match

Monday, with the team still mulling a corresponding roster move.

Booker played this season in the United Football League for the Hartford Colonials, leading the league with an average of 5.4 yards per carry. He was a third-round draft pick by the Miami Dolphins out of Florida State in 2007 and played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2008.

With Adrian Peterson playing on a sprained ankle and backup Toby Gerhart hurting his hamstring in Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, the Vikings could use depth at

ception as the Chargers had a four-game winning streak snapped. Antonio Gates caught six passes for 73 yards and a score. The Chargers' run of 18 straight December victories, which tied an NFL record for most victories in any month, was snapped. The Miami Dolphins had won 18 straight in Novembers from 1970-74. Down by 15 points in the fourth quarter, the Chargers cut into their deficit with a six-play, 80-yard drive that was capped on a Rivers pass to a wide open Gates from four yards out to make it a 21-13 g

Dawson's FG sends Browns past Dolphins NFL Football 12/05/2010
Miami, FL (MySportsbook) - Phil Dawson kicked the game-winning field goal with time running out, following a late interception of Chad Henne, to lift the Cleveland Browns to a 13-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins. With just over a minute remaining, the Dolphins were deep in their own territory and not having much success. The game seemed destined for overtime, but Henne's pass was blocked and bounced to Browns defensive back Mike Adams. Adams returned the ball to the two-yard line, and after Cleveland kne
Dolphins WR Marshall inactive for Sunday's game NFL Football 12/05/2010
Miami, FL (MySportsbook) - Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns. He will miss a second straight contest because of a hamstring injury and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Devone Bess. Marshall leads the Dolphins with 58 receptions and 693 yards this season. He has scored one touchdown and played in each of the team's first 10 games. Linebacker Channing Crowder and cornerback Al Harris are also inactive for the game.

DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -Receiver Brandon Marshall and linebacker Channing Crowder are inactive for the Miami Dolphins' game against the Cleveland Browns.

Marshall, missing his second game in a row Sunday because of a right hamstring injury, was limited in practice this week but had said he expected to play. Crowder sat out practice all week because of a knee injury.

Miami reserve cornerback Al Harris (hamstring) was also inactive.

Dolphins hope to keep run game going versus Browns NFL Football 12/04/2010

MIAMI (AP) -With the Miami Dolphins facing an uphill climb to the playoffs, running back Ronnie Brown sees a potential path: His team is 5-0 this year when rushing for 100 yards.

``I think we need to run for a few more 100-yard games,'' Brown says with a grin.

Easier said than done. The Dolphins' ground game has sputtered this season, a big reason they take a modest 6-5 record into Sunday's game against Cleveland.

Brown is averaging a career-low 3.9 yards per carry, and the Dolphins rank only 19th in
