=== Robinson serves one-game suspension === Pittsburgh, PA (My Sportsbook) - Washington Nationals manager Frank Robinson served his one-game suspension Monday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates after his appeal was denied. Robinson's suspension and $1,000 fine were for a bench-clearing incident in Anaheim on June 14, when he and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim manager Mike Scioscia got into a shouting match. Scioscia, who was also fined and served a one-game suspension on Friday, became enraged after Robinson requested umpires check the glove of Angels pitcher Brendan Donnelly. Donnelly had pine tar on his glove and was ejected from the game before ever throwing a pitch. He was later suspended for 10 days pending an appeal this Friday. Robinson's appeal was heard Monday afternoon.
