Quebec City, Quebec (My Sportsbook) - Jacques Richard, who played in the NHL with Quebec, Atlanta and Buffalo, was killed in an automobile accident early Wednesday. Richard, who apparently lost control of his car and crashed near Quebec City, retired after a 10-year NHL career. His first season in the NHL was with the Atlanta Flames in 1972 and he later played with Buffalo before finishing his career with Quebec. His career scoring totals were 160 goals and 147 assists for 307 points. His best NHL season was in 1980-81 with the Nordiques, when he scored 52 goals with 51 assists.
