Toronto, Ontario (My Sportsbook) - Pitcher Tanyon Sturtze has signed a one- year, $1 million contract with the Toronto Blue Jays. Sturtze became a free agent on Friday when his former team Tampa Bay, did not offer him a new contract. Sturtze went 4-18 with a 5.18 earned run average in 33 starts for the Devil Rays in 2002. The righthander owns a career record of 22-33 with a 5.07 ERA in 119 games. He has seen action with the Devil Rays, Texas Rangers as well as the Cubs and White Sox. |
