Braves, Johnson agree on 1-year deal

Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - The Atlanta Braves agreed to terms on a 1- year deal with outfielder Reed Johnson on Thursday. The pact also includes a club option for 2014.

The 10-year veteran, who was acquired from the Cubs on July 30, hit .270 with four RBI and five doubles in 100 at-bats over 43 games with Atlanta. All told, Johnson was a .290 hitter who slugged three home runs, 14 doubles and drove in 20 over 119 games.

Since breaking into the majors with Toronto in 2003, the 35-year-old southern California native has compiled a .284 average, 62 homers, 192 doubles and 369 RBI in 1,116 games for the Blue Jays, Cubs, Dodgers and Braves.
