Dallas, TX (My Sportsbook) - Josh Brent's blood-alcohol level was reportedly twice the legal limit when the Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman crashed his car and killed teammate Jerry Brown on Saturday.

The Dallas Morning News, citing a law enforcement source close to the investigation in a report Thursday, said Brent's blood-alcohol level was .18.

Brent was charged with intoxication manslaughter after the one-car accident Saturday. Irving, Texas police determined he was operating his vehicle at a high rate of speed and hit an outside curb that caused it to flip at least one time, killing Brown.

The Cowboys, on Wednesday, placed Brent on the reserve/non-football illness list. He will be able to remain with the team and attend a limited number of meetings and functions.
