Cleveland, OH (My Sportsbook) - The Cleveland Indians signed free agent pitcher Brian Anderson, who had been with the Arizona Diamondbacks, to a one- year contract. The club has also signed catcher A.J. Hinch to a minor league contract. Anderson finished 6-11 with a 4.79 ERA in 35 games (24 starts) last season for the Diamondbacks. The lefthander owns a career mark of 61-58 with a 4.72 ERA in 10 seasons in the majors. He broke into the big leagues in 1993 with the Angels and pitched two seasons for the Indians before spending the last five seasons in the desert. Hinch spent three seasons with Oakland before spending the last two with Kansas City. He is a career .221 hitter with 29 home runs and 101 RBI. The right-handed hitter batted .249 in 72 games for the Royals last season.
