Dallas, TX (My Sportsbook) - The Dallas Mavericks agreed to release Derek Fisher at the request of the point guard.
Fisher, 38, suffered an injury to his patellar tendon during Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers and wanted to return home to be with his family.
