Edmonton, Canada (My Sportsbook) - A.J. Allmendinger captured the pole for Sunday's inaugural West Edmonton Mall Grand Prix of Edmonton Champ Car race. The No.10 RuSport driver circled the temporary 1.96-mile, Finning International Speedway circuit in a 58.628 seconds (121.150 m.p.h.) during Friday's session and not a single driver improved on their times during Saturday's rainy second qualifying segment. Allmendinger did post the fastest time on Saturday as well (1:01.070) to earn his second championship point of the weekend. Teammate Justin Wilson (58.954) will start alongside Allmendinger. Paul Tracy (59.497) and Oriol Servia (59.592) will start in row two. After six events, Sebastien Bourdais leads the championship with 150 points, 15 more than rival Tracy (135). After his win last Sunday in Toronto, Justin Wilson is third having accumulated 128 points. The race is scheduled to begin on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
