Washington, DC (My Sportsbook) - The Colorado Rockies activated right-handed pitcher Jose Acevedo from the 15-day disabled list prior to Monday's game against the Washington Nationals. Acevedo has been out since May 29 due to a strained right groin. The reliever posted a 4.50 ERA in 15 appearances (18 innings) since being acquired from Cincinnati in April. The Rockies cleared the roster spot Sunday by sending lefthander Bobby Seay outright to Triple-A Colorado Springs. Colorado also expects to get starting leftfielder Matt Holliday back by Tuesday. Holliday, who broke his right pinkie finger June 8 against the Chicago White Sox, has rejoined the team in Washington after completing a rehab assignment in Tulsa on Sunday. The second-year slugger batted .538 (14- of-26) with a home run and seven RBI in seven games with the Drillers.
