San Jose, CA (My Sportsbook) - Defending series champion Sebastien Bourdais captured the pole for Sunday's inaugural Taylor Woodrow Grand Prix of San Jose Champ Car race. The No.1 Newman/Haas driver circled the temporary 1.6-mile, San Jose street circuit in a 54.243 seconds (96.101 m.p.h.). There was only one qualifying session this weekend due to problems with the course setup. Teammate Oriol Servia (54.305) will start alongside Bourdais. Paul Tracy (54.570) and A.J. Allmendinger (54.604) will start in row two. After seven events, Sebastien Bourdais leads the championship with 182 points, 21 more than rival Tracy (161). Justin Wilson is third having accumulated 152 points. The race is scheduled to begin on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
