St. Louis, MO (My Sportsbook) - The San Francisco Giants added lefthander Chad Zerbe to their roster on Wednesday for the National League Championship Series against St. Louis. The Giants made room for Zerbe by leaving righthander Manny Aybar off the roster. Giants manager Dusty Baker said Zerbe was added because the Cardinals have more left-handed batters on their roster than the Atlanta Braves, San Francisco's opponent in its NLDS. Zerbe was 2-0 with a 3.04 ERA in 50 relief appearances this season for the Giants. He was called up from Triple-A Fresno on April 20. Aybar allowed Atlanta to score five runs on just two pitches in the sixth inning of the Braves' 10-2 win in Game 3 on Saturday.
