Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - The Washington Nationals acquired Deivi Cruz from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for minor league pitcher Benjamin Cox. The 32-year-old Cruz is hitting .268 with five homers and 19 RBI in 81 games this season. He is expected to join the team in time for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Braves. Cruz, who has also played with Detroit, San Diego and Baltimore, is a career .269 hitter with 70 homers and 463 runs batted in. Cox, meanwhile, is 4-4 with a 3.00 ERA and six saves for Single-A Savannah this year.
