Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - The Atlanta Braves and reliever Mike Venafro have agreed to terms on a one-year major league contract, the club announced on Monday. Venafro, 29, went 2-2 with a 4.62 ERA in 47 appearances for the Oakland A's last season. He also played eight games for their AAA minor league affiliate, the Sacramento River Cats, going 0-1 with a 6.97 ERA. The left-handed Venafro, originally selected by the Texas Rangers in the 29th round of the 1995 June draft, has appeared in 259 major league games, going 13-10 with a 4.06 ERA and five saves over that span.
