Miami, FL (My Sportsbook) - Kevin Millar won't play for the Boston Red Sox in 2003. He rejected their waiver claim Tuesday. Millar will play the season with the Chunichi Dragons, according to agent Sam Levinson. Millar, 31, who was released by Florida, hit .306 with 16 home runs, 57 RBI and a .509 slugging percentage in 126 games for the Marlins in 2002. He ended the season with a .378 batting average over his final 50 games, including a career-high 25-game hitting streak from August 24 to September 19. In five seasons with Florida, the outfielder/first baseman compiled a .296 average with 111 doubles, 59 home runs and 251 RBI.
