New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Stanley Roberts was reinstated by the NBA and the players' association on Thursday. Roberts has been out of the league for the past three seasons after he was kicked out for failing a drug test. The 32-year-old's rights are still owned by the Philadelphia 76ers after he signed a $725,000 contract with the club on October 19, 1999. Roberts was then banned by the league the following month after he tested positive for what the NBA called an "amphetamine-based designer drug." If the Sixers do not want to keep the 7-foot center, he will be eligible to sign with any team. Roberts has also had stints with Orlando, the Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota and Houston during his career, which has been hampered by numerous injuries.
