Dallas Stars hope to stretch their unbeaten streak to 11 games this evening when they head to Colorado to face off with the Avalanche at the Pepsi Center. The game will also be the 1,000th in the storied career of Avs future Hall of Fame goaltender Patrick Roy.
Marty Turco made 31 saves to lead Dallas to a 3-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday. Jason Arnott scored a goal and added an assist for the Stars, who have won four straight games and are 8-0-2 in their last 10.
Scott Young and Brenden Morrow also scored for Dallas, which is also 4-0-1 in its last five on the road.
Arnott has compiled a four-game point streak with three goals and two assists in that span. Turco has never lost in five career games against Colorado (3-0-2).
Dallas, which leads the Pacific Division and the Western Conference with 63 points, will be wrapping up a two-game road trip tonight. On enemy ice this season the Stars have posted an 11-9-7 mark.
Colorado, meanwhile, comes into Monday's affair on the heels of a 4-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday.
Peter Forsberg and Dan Hinote scored for the Avalanche, who have lost four of their last five (1-4-0). Colorado has also dropped four straight home games.
Roy, who will be honored before the game, finished with 19 saves in defeat. Roy has lost his past four starts while allowing 15 goals on 82 shots in that span.

Dallas is unbeaten in its last six games (4-0-2) against Colorado and are also unbeaten in its last three trips to Denver (1-0-2).
