(My Sportsbook) - After a 107-100 loss to the
Milwaukee Bucks at Bradley Center, the
New York Knicks are happy to see the friendly confines of Madison Square Garden.
New York has won six of its last nine games but is coming off a 107-100 loss at Milwaukee. Allan Houston led the Knicks with 31 points, while Shandon Anderson added 14 points in 22 minutes off the bench. Kurt Thomas finished Anderson added 14 points in 22 minutes off the bench. Kurt Thomas finished with 12 points and nine rebounds.
The Knicks shot 50 percent from the floor and turned the ball over just nine times. New York was still unable to overcome the Bucks' weapons.
"We didn't create any turnovers," New York coach Don Chaney said. "A team like that, especially a good shooting team, you've got to at least force double-digit turnovers or close to it. We didn't do a job at all of pressuring them and you just can't allow that kind of space."
New York is 14-12 at home and 7-5 against Western Conference foes.
On Tuesday night, the Knicks welcome the struggling Los Angeles Clippers to the Garden.
The Clippers try to end a two-game skid when they travel to New York to face the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Los Angeles has dropped five of its last six games, most recently a 100-86 setback at the hands of the Toronto Raptors. Corey Maggette and Lamar Odom scored 19 points apiece, while Elton Brand added 17 points and 19 rebounds to the losing effort.
The Clippers shot just 39 percent from the floor to Toronto's 46 percent. Los Angeles has now lost 16 games this season in which it either led after three quarters or overcame a deficit to take the lead in the final stanza. Coach Alvin Gentry has seen enough, and vows wholesale lineup changes tonight.
"At this stage now, what we'll have to do is to juggle the lineup," Gentry told the Orange County Register. "We're going to look at bringing different guys off the bench and maybe that will change the makeup in the fourth quarter and where we'll get more firepower off the bench."
Gentry said the bulk of his changes would be made in the fourth quarter.
"I'm going to look at all situations," Gentry said. "I'm not locked into anything. And guys have to understand that just because we change it doesn't mean it's a demotion for them. It's just what might be best for our team."
The Clippers are 0-1 on their current four-game road trip. Los Angeles is 7-15 on the road and has a 7-9 mark against teams from the Eastern Conference.
The Clippers swept the season series with New York last year and are trying for their third straight win in the series. Los Angeles has won four of the last six overall meetings with the Knicks, who have a 61-36 advantage in the all-time series, including a 36-14 edge at Madison Square Garden.
