New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - New York Knicks power forward Antonio McDyess injured his left knee late in the fourth quarter of his team's 94-87 loss in exhibition action against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. McDyess dunked a miss by his teammate Howard Eisley, and fell to the ground clutching his knee in pain. McDyess missed all but 10 games of last season after injuring the same knee with Denver. The Knicks acquired McDyess from the Nuggets in a draft-day trade. After scoring 23 points and grabbing 15 rebounds, MyDyess was able to limp off the court on his own power before heading to the locker room. He is scheduled for an MRI later Saturday night. The Knicks are already without Latrell Sprewell, who will be sidelined six-to- eight weeks with a broken hand. McDyess, who averaged 20.8 points and 12.1 rebounds two years ago, had surgery on his left knee on October 12 of last season and was placed on the injured list. He came back on March 1, but was in and out of the lineup the rest of the way.
