Arlington, TX (My Sportsbook) - The Texas Rangers came to terms on one-year contracts with five players, including outfielder Kevin Mench. The 25-year-old Mench was the top rookie on the Rangers last season, hitting .260 with 15 homers and 60 RBI in 110 games. He was second among all American League rookies in RBI and his home run total was the most for a Rangers' rookie since 1991. The Rangers also came to terms on contracts with righthanded pitchers Reynaldo Garcia and Travis Hughes, lefthanded pitcher Mario Ramos, and catcher Gerald Laird.
