New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - New York Knicks power forward Antonio McDyess could miss "most, if not the entire season" with a knee injury suffered in Saturday's preseason game against Phoenix, the New York Daily News is reporting on its web site Sunday. McDyess injured the knee late in the fourth quarter of his team's 94-87 loss to the Suns. McDyess dunked a miss by his teammate Howard Eisley, and fell to the ground clutching his knee in pain. McDyess missed all but 10 games of last season after injuring the same knee with Denver. The Knicks acquired McDyess from the Nuggets in a draft-day trade. McDyess was scheduled for an MRI late Saturday night. The club is expected to address the media Sunday afternoon. After scoring 23 points and grabbing 15 rebounds, MyDyess was able to limp off the court on his own power before heading to the locker room. The Knicks are already without Latrell Sprewell, who will be sidelined six-to- eight weeks with a broken hand. McDyess, who averaged 20.8 points and 12.1 rebounds two years ago, had surgery on his left knee on October 12 of last season and was placed on the injured list. He came back on March 1, but was in and out of the lineup the rest of the way.
