Santa Clara, CA (My Sportsbook) - San Francisco 49ers running back Kevan Barlow will miss Sunday's game at Jacksonville because of a bruised left knee. Barlow, who leads the 49ers with 581 rushing yards this season, has been battling through the injury for some time. He missed a Week 13 loss to Arizona before returning to action last week against Seattle, but managed only 33 yards on 11 attempts. Rookie Frank Gore and Maurice Hicks expect to receive the bulk of the carries against the Jaguars in Barlow's absence. San Francisco does expect to get defensive end Bryant Young back in the lineup versus Jacksonville. The four-time Pro Bowl selection had missed the team's last three contests because of a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee. In other team news, cornerback Shawntae Spencer had an MRI on his injured quadriceps Friday, which showed a muscle strain but no further damage. Spencer, who hurt himself during Thursday's practice, is listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Wide receiver Arnaz Battle has also been ruled out for the Jacksonville game with a knee injury.
