Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - Atlanta Thrashers forward Shawn McEachern will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a herniated disk. He is expected to be sidelined for six weeks. McEachern has registered 10 goals and 16 assists in 46 games this season. The 33-year old has missed the last two games due to the herniated disk. Prior to injuring his back, McEachern missed six games with a groin strain. In addition, the Thrashers have reassigned defenseman Mike Weaver to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League. |
