New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - New York's Allan Houston and San Antonio's Tim Duncan were named Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Tuesday, February 11 through Sunday, February 16.
Houston averaged 37.0 points, 5.7 assists, 2.3 rebounds and one steal per game in leading the Knicks to a 2-1 record for the week.
On February 11 versus Golden State, he collected 32 points, six assists and two rebounds in a loss to the Warriors. Three days later at Phoenix, Houston had 26 points and six assists in a 116-115 win over the Suns. He then poured in a career-high 53 points in a 117-110 triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.
Duncan averaged 32.7 points, 15.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists in helping the Spurs to a 3-0 record for the week.
On February 11 at Portland, he contributed 36 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists, five blocks and a steal, as the Spurs defeated the Trail Blazers in overtime. Three days later against the Lakers, he scored 28 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in an eight-point victory at the Staples Center. He concluded his stellar week on Sunday with a 34-point, 12-rebound performance versus Sacramento. The Spurs defeated the Kings by three points to conclude a nine- game road trip at 8-1.
