Valley Ranch, TX (My Sportsbook) - The Dallas Stars and left wing Brenden Morrow agreed to a three-year contract on Thursday. As per team policy, financial terms were not disclosed. "Brenden has shown the ability to become an excellent NHL player," said Stars general manager Doug Armstrong. "We're excited to have him with our organization for the next three years." The 23-year-old Morrow recorded 17 goals and 18 assists in 72 games last season for Dallas. He also ranked first on the team in penalty minutes (109). Morrow, the 25th overall pick of the 1997 draft, was named the Stars' Rookie of the Year in 1990-00. The Carlyle, Saskatchewan native set career-highs in 2000-01 in games played (82), goals (20), assists (24), points (44) and penalty minutes (128). For his career, Morrow has appeared in 218 NHL games and has scored 51 goals and assisted on 61 others. In 31 career playoff contests, he has recorded two goals and seven assists.
