Detroit Pistons look to capture their third straight win on Wednesday when they head to Toronto to battle the Raptors at Air Canada Centre.
Detroit moved into a virtual tie with Indiana atop the Central Division with the Pacers' loss to Memphis on Tuesday. However, the Pistons have one less loss than Indiana.
Detroit is coming off a 93-62 home victory over the Miami Heat on Monday. Richard Hamilton poured in 34 points to power the Pistons.
Clifford Robinson had 15 points and Michael Curry added 11 for Detroit, which has won eight of its last nine games. Ben Wallace contributed to the victory with 19 rebounds.
The Pistons held Miami to only 33-percent shooting from the floor and outrebounded the Heat, 51-36.
Detroit is 16-11 on the road this season and 26-11 against the Eastern Conference, with a 13-5 mark within the Central Division.
Toronto won for the fifth time in six games on Sunday by edging the Orlando Magic, 99-97. The Raptors also improved to 2-1 on their five-game homestand.
Alvin Williams scored 22 points and Antonio Davis contributed 21 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Raptors.
Vince Carter chipped in 12 points and five assists for Toronto, which nearly blew a 15-point halftime lead. The Raptors shot 52 percent from the floor for the game.
Orlando cut the lead to three early in the fourth before Toronto responded with a 13-3 burst to grab a seemingly comfortable 91-78 advantage with just over four minutes left. The Magic again stormed back and closed within 99-97 on Tracy McGrady's three-point shot with 31.4 seconds remaining. However, Toronto managed to hold on.
The Raptors are 10-16 at home this season and 11-21 against the Eastern Conference, including a 6-12 record within the Central.
These teams met back on January 6 in Auburn Hills, with the Pistons claiming an 82-74 victory. It marked the first time the teams locked horns since Detroit ousted Toronto in the first round of last year's playoffs.
Detroit has claimed the last four regular-season meetings overall and three straight in Toronto.
