Atlanta Hawks battle the
Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.
Both the Hawks and Clippers were considered contenders for postseason spots prior to the season. However, Atlanta is a dreadful 20-34 on the season, while LA is just 19-34, and each squad decided against shaking up its roster this week.
The Hawks lost for the fifth time in six games on Tuesday by suffering a 105-79 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. The setback kicked off a seven-game road trip for Atlanta, which is 4-22 away from home this season.

Melvin Ely added 12 points and Marko Jaric scored 11 off the bench for LA, which shot 51 percent from the floor and outrebounded Milwaukee, 48-37.
The Clippers have dropped three of their last four home games and are just 11-17 at home this season. LA is 8-13 against teams from the Eastern Conference.
This is the first meeting between these teams this season. Atlanta has captured 12 of the past 15 encounters overall, but has lost three straight road games against the Clippers.
