Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 6-foot-4, 268-pound Engelberger has played in 92 career regular-season games (58 starts) and amassed 199 tackles (139 solo), 17.5 sacks, nine forced fumbles, four passes defended and two fumble recoveries. In 2005, Engelberger's first as a Bronco, the veteran played in 14 games and registered 24 tackles (17 solo). The former Virginia Tech star was originally selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round (35th overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft. The Broncos acquired him in a trade with the 49ers in July of last year. |
