Houston, TX (My Sportsbook) - The Houston Astros have signed their top two starting pitchers, Wade Miller and Roy Oswalt, to one-year deals on Thursday. The 25-year-old Oswalt is one of the up-and-coming young pitchers in Major League Baseball. He burst onto the scene in 2001 and posted a 14-3 record during his rookie season. Last season, Oswalt continued to dominate national league hitters and compiled a 19-9 mark with a 3.01 ERA in 35 games. Miller was equally impressive in 2002 when he was 15-4 with a 3.28 ERA in 26 starts for Houston. The 26-year-old also recorded a Major-league tying 12-game winning streak last season. The Astros also came to terms with outfielder Jason Lane, right-handed pitchers Brandon Puffer, Santiago Ramirez, Miguel Saladin and Ricky Stone.
