=== 49ers re-sign Nedney === Santa Clara, CA (My Sportsbook) - The San Francisco 49ers re-signed kicker Joe Nedney on Saturday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound Nedney developed into one of the league's most consistent kickers in 2005. He finished the season by connecting on 26 of his 28 field goal attempts and all 19 of his PAT's for a team-leading 97 points. Nedney was named the 49ers' co-MVP last year and will be will be entering his 10th NFL season in 2006. The veteran has a career field goal percentage of 77.2 (153 of 198) in stints with Miami (1996-97), Arizona (1998-99), Oakland (1999), Denver (2000), Carolina (2000), Tennessee (2001-04) and San Francisco (2005). |
