St. Louis, MO (My Sportsbook) - The St. Louis Rams continued their offseason revamp of their defense Tuesday, as the club signed free-agent cornerback Fakhir Brown to a five-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed. Brown had spent the last four seasons with New Orleans and started 10 games for the Saints in 2004. The 28-year-old established career-highs with 54 tackles, two interceptions and 10 passes defensed that year. Last season Brown appeared in 12 games with four starts for the Saints and finished with 33 tackles and six passes defensed. The Grambling native began his seven-year career with San Diego in 1999. Brown is the third free-agent to sign with the Rams on the defensive side this offseason. The club lured linebacker Will Witherspoon from Carolina over the weekend and also inked veteran safety Corey Chavous.
