=== Fox, Panthers agree on new five-year deal === Charlotte, NC (My Sportsbook) - Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox has been rewarded with a new five-year contract. Fox has led the Panthers to two NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl in four years with the club. He has compiled a 41-30 overall record, including 36-28 in the regular season and 5-2 in the playoffs, since becoming head coach on January 26, 2002. Fox took over Carolina in 2002 and immediately started to turn the franchise around. He led the team to a 7-9 record his first season, after the club went 1-15 the year before he came aboard. He then did what only two coaches had done before him for an encore, leading his second team to a Super Bowl just two years removed from a one-win season, joining Vince Lombardi and Bill Parcells as the only coaches to accomplish the feat.
