East Rutherford, NJ (My Sportsbook) - The New York Giants brought back a familiar face on Wednesday, signing linebacker Brandon Short. Short spent the first four years of his career with the Giants then left to play the last two years with the Carolina Panthers. He started 15 of 16 regular-season games and two of three postseason contests last season with the Panthers, and ended the campaign, including the playoffs, with 80 tackles and a half sack. In the two games that Short didn't start last year, the Panthers began the game with five defensive backs. For his career, Short has 350 tackles, 7 1/2 sacks and two interceptions in 91 games.
