Kissimmee, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Houston Astros have signed lefthander Bruce Chen to a minor league contract. Chen, who was released by the Reds earlier this week, went 0-2 with a 4.31 ERA in 39 games for Cincinnati in 2002. He also pitched in one game for the Mets and 15 for the Expos, starting five games for Montreal. The 25-year-old Chen, who has also pitched for Atlanta and Philadelphia in his career, has a major league mark of 20-18 with a 4.53 ERA in 139 career appearances (59 starts). |
