Flowery Branch, GA (My Sportsbook) - Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, who missed last week's game with a sprained right shoulder, practiced for the second straight day on Thursday and has been upgraded to probable for Sunday's game against Carolina. "I thought he threw the ball a lot better today, with more velocity and authority," said Falcons head coach Dan Reeves after practice Thursday. "I thought he had a good practice. He warmed up, threw the ball really, really well, so I would say that the chances are 75-25 [that he plays on Sunday]. Sunday, I hope it's a hundred." Vick injured his non-throwing shoulder in a 20-6 loss to Tampa Bay on October 6. He was hurt early in the third quarter when he was sacked by Simeon Rice and landed hard on his right shoulder, suffering a sprained AC joint. X-rays were negative. The first overall pick in last year's draft said Wednesday he is ready to return for this Sunday's game. "I think I'll be ready to play this week," Vick said. "I felt good throwing the ball, felt better than I thought. No pain. The question is, can I take a hit on it? And that is yet to come, so we'll see." Vick did not practice last week and sat out the Falcons' 17-10 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday. Doug Johnson started in place of Vick and completed 19-of-25 passes for 257 yards with a touchdown. He also ran for a score. The 22-year-old Vick has completed 58.4 percent of his passes for 586 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in four games this season.
