Winnipeg, MB (My Sportsbook) - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed a pair of former NFL players, wide receiver Quentin McCord and linebacker Donny Green, on Thursday. "They are both outstanding talents and they both want to further their careers in Canada," said Winnipeg general manager Brendan Taman. The 5-foot-10 McCord was originally a seventh-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons in the 2001 draft. He spent three season with the Falcons and appeared in 25 games, two starts, and caught 23 passes for 427 yards and a touchdown. He was a member of the Oakland Raiders in 2004 but did not appear in any games before being cut. He sat out the 2005 season. Green started his pro career in 2001 with the Washington Redskins and Jacksonville Jaguars and also played for the Oakland Raiders. He attended the Atlanta Falcons training camp in 2005, but was released prior to the start of the regular season.
