Kansas City, MO (My Sportsbook) - Kansas City Chiefs running back Priest Holmes had arthroscopic hip surgery on Tuesday, but is expected to be running at full speed in June. The 29-year-old Holmes, who missed the last two games of the season with the injury, rushed for 1,615 yards, caught 70 passes and found the end zone 24 times this past season. Holmes suffered a bruised right hip in the third quarter of a 31-24 loss to the Broncos last season. He broke free for a 56-yard run midway through the period and was finally brought down awkwardly at the Denver four-yard line. The six-year veteran finished his second season with the Chiefs and played four years with Baltimore prior to signing as a free agent with Kansas City. Over his six-year career, Holmes has played in 78 games, rushing for 5,272 yards and 39 touchdowns.
