=== First-timers T&T pick up point against Sweden === Dortmund, Germany (My Sportsbook) - In their World Cup debut, ten-man Trinidad & Tobago managed a scoreless draw with heavy favorite Sweden Saturday at Dortmund in Group B action. Trinidad and Tobago, the smallest country ever to qualify for the World Cup, earned their first point on soccer's greatest stage as goalkeeper Shaka Hislop and Dwight Yorke led the team a 0-0 match. Yorke, who usually commands the offense, helped form Trinidad and Tobago's unshakable defense. The Caribbean underdogs were cut to 10 players in the 46th minute as defender Avery John was booked with the first red card of the World Cup after two reckless tackles. John's exit, however, did not hinder the team's defensive line as Hislop stunned Sweden fans, making six incredible saves. Sweden, which is making its 11th World Cup appearance, created several scoring opportunities throughout the game. Ibrahimovic, Henrik Larsson and Freddie Ljungberg headlined the team's offensive surge, but could not find the back of the net to break the 0-0 deadlock. Trinidad and Tobago's best scoring chance came in the 57th minute as substitute Cornell Glen fired a shot off the crossbar to keep Sweden goalkeeper Rami Shaaban on his toes. With the draw, each team earned a point going into their second match on Thursday. Trinidad and Tobago will face Group B's top team England, while Sweden takes the field against Paraguay.
