Cologne, Germany (My Sportsbook) - England's Michael Owen will miss the rest of the World Cup after a scan on Wednesday confirmed he had ruptured his anterior cruciate knee ligament. Owen fell to the field in just the fourth minute of Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Sweden. The striker is now expected to return to England for further treatment, which according to the English Football Association, will be managed by Owen's Premiership team, Newcastle United. |
