Houston, TX (My Sportsbook) - The Houston Texans have reached a verbal agreement on a contract with free agent running back Stacey Mack, who had spent the past four seasons with Jacksonville, according to a published report. ESPN.com reported on Thursday that Mack and the Texans reached a verbal agreement on a one-year deal. The Jaguars and Giants were also reported to be interested in Mack's services. The 28-year-old Mack played in all 16 regular-season games for Jacksonville last season, carrying the ball 98 times for 436 yards and nine scores. A Temple product, Mack made the Jaguars' roster in 1999 as an undrafted rookie. He has played in 50 games over his career and has rushed for 1,498 yards and 19 touchdowns.
