Boston Celtics attempt to capture their fourth straight win on Friday when they welcome the
Sacramento Kings to the FleetCenter.
The Celtics' current three-game winning streak comes on the heels of a six- game losing streak. Boston holds the sixth position in the Eastern Conference and trails New Orleans by just one-half game for the fifth spot.
Most recently, the Celtics routed the Miami Heat on Wednesday, 90-62.
Paul Pierce collected 28 points, seven rebounds and five assists in only 32 minutes to lead Boston. Pierce shot 11-of-19 from the floor and also had four steals.
Antoine Walker added 11 points and Tony Delk chipped in 10 points for Boston, which shot 44 percent from the field and held Miami to 36 percent shooting.
The Celtics have won seven of their last 10 home games and are 24-13 in their building this season. Boston is 13-14 against the Western Conference.
The Kings have won their last two games and eight of their past nine. Sacramento improved to 3-1 on its six-game road trip with a 105-99 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.
Chris Webber had 28 points, nine rebounds and six assists to lead the Kings. Mike Bibby netted 17 points and Peja Stojakovic added 16 in the win.
Vlade Divac contributed 12 points, seven boards and seven assists for Sacramento, which led by as much as 22 in the contest. The Kings shot 48 percent from the field and sank 17-of-19 free throws in the contest.
Sacramento has already clinched the Pacific Division title and holds the second seed in the Western Conference. The Kings trail the Dallas Mavericks by 2 1/2 games for the top spot in the West.
The Kings have won four of their last five road games and are 22-16 away from home this season. Sacramento is 21-7 against the Eastern Conference.
This is the final meeting between the Kings and Celtics this season. These teams met back on February 20 in Sacramento, with the Kings claiming a 105-83 victory. The Kings will attempt to capture their third straight season-series sweep of Boston.
Sacramento has won the last five meetings overall and the past two in Boston.
