Auburn Hills, MI (My Sportsbook) - Detroit Pistons center Ben Wallace injured his left knee during Sunday night's 89-83 loss to San Antonio. Wallace suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in his knee late in the first half after teammate Tayshaun Prince collided with him. The NBA's Defensive Player of the Year will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his injury. The All-Star center leads the league with 15.5 rebounds and 3.17 blocks per game. He is also averaging 7.0 points per contest. Wallace's injury was not the only thing that wrong with Detroit on Sunday, as the team fell one-half game behind New Jersey for the top seed in the Eastern Conference after the Nets defeated Toronto. The Pistons, who have lost three straight games, are only 1 1/2 games ahead of Indiana for the Central Division lead.
