Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed catcher Rod Barajas on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained left hamstring.

Barajas was injured in the seventh inning of Sunday's game against Colorado. He is expected to undergo an MRI exam when the team returns to Phoenix on Thursday.

In five games this season, Barajas has just two hits in 10 at-bats with a double and two runs batted in.

Chad Moeller will do most of the catching in Barajas' absence and the club recalled Robby Hammock from Triple-A Tucson to fill the vacant roster spot.
