Chicago, IL (My Sportsbook) - Cincinnati Reds shortstop Barry Larkin was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday with an injured left calf. Larkin missed the last three games because of the injury. The veteran complained that he had trouble running while the Reds struggled against Philadelphia. The Phillies captured two contests out of the three-game set, including a 13-1 romp on Sunday. Larkin had played in every game this season until injuring his leg last Thursday against the Houston Astros. Meanwhile, the club recalled outfielder Juan Castro from Louisville of the International League.
