Milwaukee, WI (My Sportsbook) - The Milwaukee Brewers have placed outfielder Jeffrey Hammonds on the 15-day disabled list because of a high ankle sprain. In his third season with Milwaukee, Hammonds is hitting just .158 with a homer and three runs batted in. He has just six hits in 38 at-bats through 10 games. The 32-year-old Hammonds began his career with Baltimore in 1993 and entered the 2003 season with a career average of .276 and 103 home runs. He also played for Cincinnati and Colorado before joining Milwaukee prior to the 2001 season. The Brewers have activated outfielder Brady Clark off the 15-day disabled list to fill the roster spot. Clark had been sidelined since late in spring training with a groin injury.
