Toronto, Ontario (My Sportsbook) - The National Hockey League Monday suspended Florida Panthers defenseman Lance Ward one game without pay for an elbow he delivered to Columbus' Tyler Wright on Saturday night. Ward, who will miss Monday's game against Atlanta, nailed Wright on the chin with under one minute remaining in the Panthers' 4-1 loss to the Blue Jackets. He drew a major penalty and a game misconduct. Wright sustained a slight concussion and is questionable for Columbus' next game versus Tampa Bay on Wednesday. |
