(My Sportsbook) - The Brewers gave up a two-run homer in the eighth inning of the opener of a three-game series at Pro Player Stadium on Tuesday, as they suffered a 4-2 loss to the Marlins. Valerio De Los Santos (1-1) suffered the loss as he allowed two runs on two hits in 1 2/3 innings. Wayne Franklin started the game for Milwaukee and yielded just two runs on three hits over six innings. Alex Sanchez went 3-for-5, while Richie Sexson collected two hits and an RBI for Milwaukee, which had its two-game winning streak snapped. Florida has beaten Milwaukee three straight times and in nine of the last 13 meetings. Milwaukee third baseman Wes Helms went 0-for-4 and is hitless in his last 18 at-bats. Eddie Perez chipped in two hits in a losing effort. Lefty Glendon Rusch will head to the mound for Milwaukee tonight, hoping to avoid losing his third straight start. In his most recent start, Friday against Houston, Rusch dropped an 11-5 decision at Miller Park. He allowed six runs on seven hits in just four innings. Rusch will be making his 10th career appearance against the Marlins. He's 3-5 lifetime versus Florida, but was victorious in his last start against the Marlins winning 6-1 on September 7, 2001 at Pro Player Stadium while with the New York Mets.
