(My Sportsbook) - The Toronto Blue Jays gave up a late lead for the second game in a row on Wednesday, as they fell 4-3 to the Devil Rays in the second game of a three-game set at Tropicana Field.. Despite pitching well for much of the game, Mark Hendrickson suffered the loss. Hendrickson (1-3) allowed four runs on eight hits over 7 2/3 innings, while striking out three and walking none. Carlos Delgado, Tom Wilson and Josh Phelps each belted solo homers to account for the Toronto runs. The Blue Jays have now lost six of their last seven. Delgado now has 21 career homers against Tampa Bay, which are the most any player has against the Rays. He had been hitless in his last 11 at-bats, before launching his homer in the fourth inning. Delgado left the game in the sixth inning after bruising his left eye on a slide into second base and is now listed as day to day. Orlando Hudson finished with two stolen bases in the loss, giving Toronto just its third stolen base of the entire season. Toronto's, Tanyon Sturtze, will take the mound today against the Devil Rays and will try to erase the memory of his most recent outing. He suffered his first loss of the year last time he took to the rubber, allowing seven runs and six hits in just 4 2/3 innings of work. Sturtze (2-1) has not fared well in his career when facing the Devil Rays, posting an ERA of 5.09. Despite his problems against Tampa Bay, Sturtze has still managed to put up a record of 2-1 when facing the Devil Rays.
