(My Sportsbook) - Minnesota's skid was extended to six games yesterday with a 2-1 loss to the surging Kansas City Royals yesterday. The Twins lost both games of the abbreviated set, as Wednesday's scheduled matchup between the two squads was rained out. Brad Radke (1-3) pitched his first complete game of the season yesterday, but he did suffer the loss. He hurled eight innings and allowed just two runs on four hits to go along with four strikeouts and a walk. Torii Hunter and A.J. Pierzynski each collected two hits in the loss for Minnesota, which outhit the Royals, 7-4. The Twins hope to stop their second six-game losing streak of the season tonight when they open a three-game series against the White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field. Minnesota will look to righthander Joe Mays to change its fortunes tonight. Mays is 2-2 on the year with a 5.96 ERA and is coming off a loss in his last start against the Yankees. The 27-year-old allowed four runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings. In 14 career appearances, including 13 starts, against the White Sox, he is 6-2 with a 3.53 ERA. Minnesota's 76 runs scored this season are the second fewest in the American League.
